It exists as two geometric isomers: cis- (Z) and trans- (E), with the trans-isomer shown in the top image. The trans- form can undergo isomerisation to the cis- form when exposed to ultraviolet irradiation.

The groups of Howitz and Sinclair reported in 2003 in the journal Nature that resveratrol significantly extends the lifespan of the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Later studies conducted by Sinclair showed that resveratrol also prolongs the lifespan of the wormCaenorhabditis elegans and the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster. In 2007, a different group of researchers was able to reproduce Sinclair’s results with Caenorhabditis elegans, but a third group could not achieve consistent increases in lifespan of D. melanogaster or C. elegans.

Later Sinclair reported that resveratrol counteracted the detrimental effects of a high-fat diet in mice. Resveratrol treatment appeared to prevent the development of mammary tumors in animal models; however, it had no effect on the growth of existing tumors. Paradoxically, treatment of pre-pubertal mice with high doses of resveratrol enhanced formation of tumors. Injected in high doses into mice, resveratrol slowed the growth of neuroblastomas.

I currently use an anti-aging moisturizer on my face and neck/chest. I want to reduce any fine lines that are beginning to show (I’m only 25), and to prevent future lines from appearing. I spend almost ZERO time in the sun at the moment, but I will be moving to Oahu in around six months, so I’ll be needing a daily treatment with SPF. I have dark circles under my eyes (not sleep-related, I’m drinking more water), but otherwise my skin is fairly healthy.

I was going to first try Anti-Aging Nutrimin C RE9 Corrective Eye Creme and NutriMinC RE9 REactivating Facial Serum. Would that take care of my daily face care? I was also looking at the Intelligence Rejuvenating Cream – would it matter if I ordered the older version that isn’t intelligence?

Would you recommend the anti-aging line or the not-so-basic line? Or a combination? I just want a *simple* morning routine to keep my skin healthy.
